Men's 50 Plus Plan

Men over 50 face an increased risk of several specific conditions and diseases that require increased awareness and vigilance to prevent, detect and address. This package includes the full OHC Comprehensive Health Physical and Lifestyle Evaluation as well as more targeted testing to assess your fitness level, risk for stroke and heart-related diseases, future hip fracture risk, metabolic rate, and testosterone level. This assessment includes:

OHC’s Comprehensive Physical and Lifestyle Evaluation

Our premier series of over 100 comprehensive baseline assessments that focus on early detection and prevention of disease (see OHC Comprehensive Physical and Lifestyle Evaluations for complete listing)

Advanced Cholesterol Testing

Comprehensive testing that measures your risk of forming plaque in your arteries and helps establish if you are suffering from accelerated aging

C-Reactive Protein

Marker for inflammation and risk factor for heart disease

Mercury Test

Measures for elevated mercury levels, which can impair metabolic, neurological, & mental function

Testosterone Levels

Decreasing testosterone levels impact cognitive function, weight gain, exercise drive, cardiac risk, and sexual function. We test both total and free testosterone after age 50 yearly.

Cardiac Risk Consultation

In-depth consultation by your physician on your risk factors for cardiovascular disease (CVD)

Comprehensive Fitness Consultation

In-depth evaluation and consultation with an exercise physiologist, including a customized exercise plan to meet your health and weight-control goals

VO2 Max

Gold standard test in conjunction with treadmill stress test to measure current level of fitness and assess your physiologic age and to optimize your exercise prescription

Carotid IMT Scan

Non-invasive ultrasound scan that measures the formation of early (soft) artery plaque, which is the most treatable with preventive care

DEXA Bone Density Scan

Gold standard test for osteoporosis and future risk of debilitating fracture risk. This scan measures the calcium content in your bones and is performed at your first visit and only if abnormal is it repeated every two years.

Basal Metabolic Rate Assessment, BMR {NEW!}

Using space-age technology, we measure your oxygen and energy burn rate while at rest. BMR often decreases after age 50, complicating weight control. This measure ensures our nutritional recommendations meet your metabolic needs and is very helpful for understanding metabolism and weight control.
