Stress is a part of our lives right? What happens if we don’t manage it? It sends our hormones in to chaos. The result is a raise in adrenaline and cortisone levels, brain shrinkage, and extra weight around your waistline. The worst part is you lose control over the choices you make every day. I want to help you destress. Here are a few ways to manage your stress.
Step 1: Plan peace and relaxation in your day- do something you enjoy
Step 2: Low Impact or High Intensity workout to relieve tension
Step 3: Romance- Hugging and kissing with compassion helps to raise Oxytocin (a good hormone in the body that makes you feel calm and pleasant)
Step 4: Rest- Getting a good night’s rest can help relieve the stress
I don’t expect you to get rid of all your stress, but relieving some of it would make a big difference in your day. Remember pick 3 or 4 things you do every day to keep your stress levels down and your Oxytocin up. Then you can say Good Bye to those signs of accelerated aging from uncontrolled stress and Hello to an increase in joy and happiness in your life.
