I recently had an awesome interview with Dr. Dale Bredesen, a physician who has created a breakthrough program to reverse Alzheimer’s disease. For years people have been told that we can’t stop memory loss, but now we know you can. Dr. Bredesen’s research has focused on patients with substantial memory loss, and their stories, filled with transformation, are inspiring.

For over a decade, my own research has shown that we can improve memory and cognitive function, with lifestyle choices that focus on the right food, nutrients, activities, stress management, and brain toxin avoidance. My research has shown that people who have been moderately forgetful and unfocused, can become mentally sharper and more productive and that the average person following my program can improve their advanced brain function and brain processing speed by 25%.

Dr. Bredesen has had a different clinical perspective from my clinic; he has been working with people with substantial memory loss, and seeing meaningful improvement. The stories in his book, The End of Alzheimer’s, gives us hope for this awful disease.

Alzheimer’s isn’t just hard on people with the disease—it’s awful for their families, too. As people worsen gradually over time, they lose their independence, their identity, and they become a burden on the people they love. It’s no wonder that Alzheimer’s disease is the scariest disease on the planet.
